To do the above properly, we need your help.
We are currently growing our volunteer staff to help us deliver a more focused response to each of these areas and have recently developed a few additional positions on the Executive Committee which will come before our Annual Business meeting in May for approval. Each of these new positions, as well as those already existing with new volunteers begin functioning July, 2012. These different positions have different time requirements and different skills.

From Atlanta:
Take GA 400 North to exit 7A (Holcomb Bridge Road). Exit and go East (right) 3.7 miles. At this point you will be at a traffic light where you should turn left onto Nesbit Ferry Road. The second Rivermont entrance on the right (Rivermont - The Rivers) is identified by the guard house at the entrance. Turn right onto Rivermont Parkway, go straight through four stop signs and the clubhouse is on your left.
From I-85:
Take the Jimmy Carter Boulevard exit and travel West. Jimmy Carter will change names to Holcomb Bridge Road (140). Continue on Holcomb Bridge road across the Chattahoochee River. Once across the river, goes past a fire station on your right and proceed to the second traffic light past the fire station. At the light turn right onto Nesbit Ferry Road. Turn right at the second Rivermont entrance (Rivermont - The Rivers). Continue through four stop signs and the clubhouse is on the left.
From the intersection of Medlock Bridge and Jones Bridge roads in North Fulton:
Go south on Jones Bridge road for 5.7 miles. Cross over Old Alabama Road, continuing on Jones Bridge road for another .6 miles. At this point you will be at a stop sign where you can only turn right on Barnwell road. Continue on Barnwell road for 1.1 miles. The second Rivermont entrance off of Barnwell road is "The Mounts". Turn right at this entrance onto Rivermont Parkway, proceed through two stop signs and the clubhouse is on your right.
Purpose
The United Methodist Men of the North Georgia Conference exist to provide opportunities and resources to assist the UMMen local church Men’s Ministries and district officers in Reaching Every Man in our communities.
The objectives of the United Methodist Men of North Georgia (as per our constitution and bylaws,) shall provide inspiration, leadership and support to the District and local units of United Methodist Men. The most important function is to focus all men in their quest for Christian service.
All elected and appointed officers of the UMMen shall seek the guidance of Jesus Christ in their lives and in the performance of their duties. In addition they shall:
- Provide leadership for all UMMen activities within the NGC.
- Provide training seminars for UMMen within the local churches and the districts of the NGC.
- Work with the NGC Bishop, NGC and District Councils on Ministries, District Superintendents, and Pastors to under gird all phases of the programs of The United Methodist Church.
- Promote personal evangelism, especially among men and boys.
- Cooperate with all branches of United Methodist Men’s Ministry.
- Promote the study of and familiarization with The United Methodist Church, its doctrine and its organization.
- Receive, evaluate, and promote service projects on international, national, conference, district, and local levels.
- Promote the chartering and annual registration of UM Men Ministry for each local church and charge.
- Promote the Annual Men’s Spiritual Retreat, all other retreats and general gatherings of men that are sponsored by the Organization.
- Be a two-way channel for information among and between national, conference, district and local United Methodist Men’s Ministry.
- Encourage men in their ministry to reach out beyond the local church for the development of men of strong personal character that will radiate and motivate Christian principles and service.
